Weather pending, a portion of Park Street will close to through traffic on Monday, June 27.
The City Street Department will rebuild Park Street between Polk and Taylor Avenues, including the Taylor Avenue intersection. Access to adjacent property will be maintained; through traffic should use an alternate route. Park Street is scheduled to reopen in July.
The city maintains 80 miles of streets, more than 100 miles of water main, and more than 60 miles of sanitary sewer. Each year, city staff assess the streets, in addition to utilities, sidewalks and curbs to prioritize street maintenance and reconstruction projects.
