Next week, the City of Pierre will begin rehabilitating manholes throughout town. This work will cause a number of street closures and traffic restrictions.
Euclid and Pleasant
Beginning at 6 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 23, the Euclid Avenue and Pleasant Drive intersection will be closed to east-west traffic. The closure is expected to remain in place through Thursday, Oct. 26. Please use alternate routes.
Fourth Street
Shortly after 8 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 23, Fourth Street will be closed between Euclid Avenue and Governors Drive. The closure is expected to remain in place through Thursday, Oct. 26. Please use alternate routes.
Sioux and Ree
Shortly after 8 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 23, lane restrictions will be established at the Sioux Avenue and Ree Street intersection. The intersection will be closed to north-south traffic. The closure is expected to remain in place through Monday, Oct. 30. Please use alternate routes.
The closures accommodate manhole rehabilitation. Between next week and mid-December, 30 manholes throughout Pierre will be rehabilitated. Rehabilitating the manholes ensures the City has necessary access to maintain its sanitary sewer lines.
While work is in progress, localized traffic controls will be in place at each of the 30 rehabilitation sites.
