[ARCHIVED] Jet Service to Denver Set to Begin

Jet Service to Denver Set to Begin

PIERRE, SD- In less than one week, people flying out of Pierre will have non-stop jet service to Denver.

The new jet service is provided by Aerodynamics, Inc. (ADI), Pierre Regional Airport’s new commercial air carrier. ADI will make its first hop from Pierre to Denver, on Monday, August 15, departing at 8:40 a.m.

Pierre Mayor Laurie Gill will be on that flight, and said she’s very excited to try out the ADI experience.

“This inaugural flight is two years in the making,” said Mayor Gill. “The City of Pierre, along with the local Air-Service Task Force, have worked very hard to secure reliable commercial service in Pierre, and we’re all excited to see that hard work paying off.”

Mickey Bowman, ADI Chief Operating Officer, echoed Mayor Gill’s enthusiasm.

“We are very pleased to enter the Pierre market,” said Bowman. “We want people flying out of Pierre to know that we are dedicated to providing safe and reliable air-service. We are ready to prove ourselves to central South Dakota.”

Mayor Gill will make the return flight from Denver to Pierre landing shortly after 1 p.m. Upon arrival, the City of Pierre will host an open house for ADI at the Pierre Regional Airport. Mayor Gill, Governor Dennis Daugaard, and Mickey Bowman, will make brief remarks.

Beginning August 15, ADI, doing business as, Great Lakes Jet Express will offer 12 weekly non-stop jet service flights from Pierre to Denver, and an equal number of return flights. Flights can be booked at flygreatlakes.com, through a travel agent, or through other online travel sites. Introductory rates include one-way tickets to Denver for $63.50.

Great Lakes Jet Express is the trademarked name for the domestic scheduled flights operated by Aerodynamics, Inc. (ADI). ADI is headquartered in Kennesaw, GA. It has served the industry for 55 years without incident or accident and operates a fleet of 50-seat regional jets throughout the U.S. For more information visit www.flyadi.com.
