City Awards Street Paving Bid
At their April 2 meeting, Pierre City Commissioners awarded the 2024 street paving contract.
The commission approved a $1.68 million paving contract with Morris, Inc. Under the contract, Morris will repave about 37 blocks of street this year. Those improvements range from placing a new layer of asphalt on a street, to removing old asphalt and replacing it with new asphalt, to putting a fresh surface on rebuilt streets. The contract also includes street repair materials.
Work is expected to be complete by the end of the 2024 construction season.
