Inspection Requests
It shall be the duty of the permit holder or their agent to notify the building official 24 hours in advance that such work is ready for inspection. It shall be the duty of the person requesting any inspection required by this code to provide access and means for inspection of such work. Any inspections that are completed on a legal holiday will be assessed a fee.
Approval Requirements
Work shall not be done beyond the point indicated in each successive inspection without first obtaining approval of the building official. The building official, upon notification, shall make the requested inspection and shall either indicate the portion of the construction that is satisfactory as completed, or shall notify the permit holder or an agent of the permit holder wherein the same fails to comply with this code. Any portions that do not comply shall be corrected and such portion shall not be covered or concealed until authorized by the building official

Prior to setting form for foundation/basement walls. Please mark out location of walls forms on the footings. A lot survey may be required by the building official to verify that the structure is located in accordance with the approved plans.
After excavation for footings is complete and any required reinforcing steel is in place. A soils report may be required prior to pouring footings.
After wall forms and required reinforcing is in place.
After all in-slab or under-floor building footings have been excavated and any required reinforcing steel is in place
After roof, all framing, fire blocking and bracing are in place and all pipes, chimneys and vents are complete, and the rough electrical, plumbing and heating wires, pipes and ducts are approved. To be made prior to any insulating or wall covering. Copy of truss manufacturers bracing requirements must be on-site at time of inspection.
Rough inspection of mechanical and gas systems shall be made prior to covering or concealing, before fixtures or appliances are set or installed.
After all gypsum board, interior and exterior, is in place, but before any plastering is applied or gypsum board joints and fasteners are taped and finished. NOTE: This inspection is only required for rated wall assemblies.
After finish grading and the building is completed and ready for occupancy.
