If you think you would like to be a volunteer firefighter, the Pierre Fire Department would welcome your application. You'll need to have a personal interview and pass a medical physical and a criminal history background check.

If you would like to support your community by providing emergency services, we're looking for you!

Volunteer Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Valid SD Drivers License
  • Live within 3 miles of Pierre, SD or work in the city
