CITY GARBAGE COLLECTION
There seems to be confusion on the collection services provided by the city. The city is only ending the Yard Waste Collection this year. We will CONTINUE the Garbage / Solid Waste Collection.
At this time we feel providing garbage collection is an important part of the city infrastructure. Thank you to those that use our city garbage collection service.
Garbage bags can be purchased at 2 convenient locations:
· City Hall: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (Monday – Friday)
· Solid Waste Facility:
o April - October: 8:00 am to 5:30 pm (Monday – Friday) & 9:00 am – 1:00 pm (Saturday)
o November – March: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (Monday – Friday) & 9:00 am – 1:00 pm (Saturday)
Pricing – you pay only for what you throw away
· Roll of 25 bags - $48 ($1.92 per bag)
o If you fill 1 bag per week your monthly cost is $8.32
o If you fill 2 bags per week your monthly cost is $16.64
· Bundle of 10 bags - $20.50 (2.05 per bag)
o If you fill 1 bag per week your monthly cost is $8.88
o If you fill 2 bags per week your monthly cost is $17.77
We offer a durable 33 gallon garbage bag. The fee covers the cost of the bag, disposal fee and collection fee. If you miss collection day you can bring your bag to the Solid Waste Facility for no additional fee. If you want to put your bag into a refuse container, contact us and we will pull it out of the container for you.
