Solid Waste Facility

2800 E. Park (Entrance located off of Lowell Street)

The north side of the Conveyor is designated for residential and small vehicle dumping.  The waste is dumped on the floor in the building.

The loader is pushing the commercial waste onto the conveyor

A small loader is used to push the solid waste onto the conveyor. There is a rubber cutting edge on the bucket of the loader to help perserve the concrete floor.

The solid waste baler can bale almost 30 ton per hour of solid waste.  Solid Waste is carried up the conveyor and drops into a chamber where it is compacted by a ram.

The ejector ram pushes the bales onto the platform so they can be loaded into the back of the semi trailer with a walking floor.

An overhead hoist with a clamp is used to lift the 2,300 pound bales into the back of the semi trailer once they are ejected from the baler.

Roll off bins provide convenient dumping for small amounts of rubble and metal.

There is a 24 hour drop off area with roll off bins for yard waste and trees.

A loader is used to pick the trees up from the tree dumping area and then we haul them to the rubble landfill.

There are recycling bins available 24 hours a day.
