The Pierre Parks &
Recreation Department operates and maintains the
Pierre Skate Park which is located in Griffin Park
next to the Municipal Outdoor Pool. The purpose of
this facility is for the enjoyment of skateboarding,
in-line skating and BMX. Facility is open and
available to all ages and skill abilities. The park
offers a variety of ramps to accommodate all ability
levels.
Skate Park is
FREE
to use!
The future of the skate
park depends on its users following these rules. The
City of Pierre does not assume responsibility for
injuries or accidents.

SKATE SMART

Protective gear is
highly recommended: Helmets, Wrist Guards, Knee
and Elbow Pads

Use of this facility
may result in serious injury or death.

Weather conditions
may affect the ramp surfaces.

and skate within them.

Reckless or
dangerous skaters may be asked to leave the

SKATE COURTEOUS
SKATE HOURS

The City of Pierre
curfew ordinance will be enforced. Those
individuals under the age of 16 will be allowed
to skate from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Those individuals
over the age of 16 will be allowed to skate from
8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
PARK RULES
-
No motorized
equipment is allowed.

Illegal use of
alcohol, tobacco or drugs is prohibited.
-
Graffiti, stickers
or abuse of property will not be tolerated.
-
Please use the trash
cans to dispose of litter.
