Rake it Up - Trim it Up!
- September/October
The City of Pierre
promotes the Rake it Up – Trim it Up phase by
providing 24 hour 7 day a week roll off containers
for your leaves and a drop area for your tree
trimmings. Of course you are welcome to take these
items directly to the Rubble Landfill (with
admittance through the Solid Waste Facility) during
our regular hours of operation.
October 2010 - Georgia
Morse Middle School Student Council
The Georgia Morse
Middle School Student Council took advantage of the
prolonged 'summer' weather to participate, once again, in
the City's Go Green and Clean Campaign.

The GMMS Student
Council partners with the City once per semester to complete
a Community Service Project. Last school year, the council
participated in an Earth Day Clean-Up throughout the city
and along the Lewis & Clark Trail out to Farm Island. This
October, the student council members took charge of painting
over the graffiti marring the City's bike path, inside the
tunnel under Sioux Ave. In addition, they hauled out five
bags of garbage and one abandoned bicycle, all collected
along the banks of the creek. The feeling of pride and the
value of giving back motivates our council members to
continue to take an active part in our community.
September 30, 2010 - Chamber
Beautification Committee -

have a volunteer group to collect debris from the Causeway &
LaFramboise Island.
