ELECTRICIANS
Section 10-6-101 to 199, inclusive. Electricians - general provisions.
Section 10-6-101. License required.
All electricians doing work within the City of Pierre will be required to be licensed by the City of Pierre. Each person upon paying the license fee as provided herein shall be issued a City of Pierre license upon furnishing satisfactory proof that he is licensed by the State of South Dakota pursuant to passing an examination.

Section 10-6-102. Fees for electrical licenses.
The amount of license fee shall be Two Hundred Fifty ($250.00) Dollars, for the electrical license the first year and a renewal fee of Twenty-Five ($25.00) Dollars for each year thereafter. If the license is not renewed prior to March 1, it shall be considered a new license and the fee shall be $250.00. All electricians holding a license as of April 1, 1991 will not be subject to the Two Hundred Fifty ($250.00) Dollars fee but will be required to pay the Twenty-Five ($25.00) Dollars renewal fee annually thereafter.

Section 10-6-103. Issuance and effect of electrical license.
All license fees as provided in this chapter shall be payable to the City Finance Officer who shall issue the license and shall be credited by him to the general fund. All licenses are issued for the calendar year and fees will not be pro-rated.
