Pierre Solid Waste Facility
The City of Pierre Landfill office and scale house facility is located at 2800 E. Park St., however, the entrance to the scales and drop off containers is made from Lowell Ave. east of the facility.

Crushed Asphalt For Sale
Crushed asphalt is available for sale - $8 per ton loaded. We appreciate a call ahead of time to ensure the loader and an operator is available for a quicker turn around time. Call 773-7434
Screened Compost
We have screened compost available for sale during hours of operations as listed below. Customers need to come across the scale for access. The fee for screened compost is $15 per ton with a minimum charge of $3. There is no unscreened compost available at this time.

Saturday: 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

Your 2013 FREE LOAD Coupon was in your March City Utility bill. Take advantage of this opportunity to clean up those unneeded items laying around your garage and house.
Rubble Pit at Regional Landfill
The rubble pit is at the Regional Landfill. NO mixed loads. You will be required to separate any mixed loads that come to the facility. Any loads dumped that are not separated will be assessed additional fees and future loads will be subject to rejection of the load of waste.
Cash customers: Loads need to be weighed at the Solid Waste Facility.
Charge Account Customers: There is a scale at the landfill for easier access to the Landfill. Call 773-7434 for more information and access to use the scale at the regional landfill.

Cell Phone Recycling
We accept old cell phones free of charge and have them recycled for you! Just drop them off at City Hall (222 E Dakota) or the Solid Waste Facility (2800 E Park).

Solid Waste Facility & Landfill Policies: All material going into the landfill must be weighed in at the landfill scale located at 2800 E. Park St. There is no longer a scale located at the actual landfill site. Enter the scale area off of S. Lowell St. which is directly south of the landfill road.
Vehicles hauling refuse or yard waste that is not secured or covered so that no spillage may occur may be assessed a fine up to $20.00. THIS POLICY IS STRICTLY ENFORCED!!

Drop off boxes for yard waste and trees are available after hours and Sundays at the Pierre Solid Waste Facility located at 2800 East Park.
