Pierre, S.D. –Just in time for the Fourth of July, the back nine at Hillsview Golf Course and all Pierre City Parks are reopening.
GOLF COURSEAs of 5 p.m. today, all 18 holes at Hillsview Golf Course are available for play. The front nine and the driving range reopened last week. Pre-established tee times will be honored.
PARKSCity crews are finishing clean-up work throughout the city’s eight parks today. The city’s 97 acres of park space and 50 miles of multi-use trails will reopen tomorrow morning. Those using the parks should use caution around trees that are marked with orange-colored ribbons. The ribbons designate trees with broken limbs that still require trimming.
City parks and portions of Hillsview Golf Course have been closed since June 22 when a thunderstorm passed through Pierre causing flooding and extensive tree damage.

Debris, such as fences and metal products, should be taken to the city baling facility on East Park Street.
